Pre-order food online! We can deliver it to you cold or you can pick it up from our Cargo, Colibri, or our kitchen. The karaage bento has been super popular so I'd recommend preordering it if you really want one. For day-of pick-ups, please call/text our Fula-phone: 971 325-2889. Place your orders anytime and pick up your food from our kitchen Weds-Sun 10:30 - 1:45. Food picked up from our kitchen will be served at its ideal temperature. All other pick-ups will be cold and ready for reheating.
Yakisoba Pan is a staple snack and matsuri (festival) food in Japan and once you try it, you'll see why! We're using koppepan (kind of a 'hot dog bun') from Oyatsupan, Kewpie Mayo, yakisoba noodles from our beloved Umi Organic, Doro sauce (from Kobe, Japan), cabbage, carrots, and your choice of Olympia Provisions Sweetheart Ham or Japanese shiitake mushrooms. We're garnishing with aonori (delicious seaweed flakes) and our housemade benishoga (red ginger pickles). Cool kids add bonito ;)
If you want a hot yakisoba-pan, please request pick up from the Fulamingo Kitchen. Otherwise, it will be delivered cold and you can enjoy it cold, konbini-style, or you can pop it in the oven for a few minutes to warm it up. (I know it's sacrilegious to say, but the shiitake yakisoba pan is so fire that I might prefer it to the ham?!)
Yakisoba Pan is a post-war food in Japan and reflects the subsequent rice shortage, hence all the flour. Yakisoba is a derivative of Chinese Chow Mein, but like ramen, it's been completely absorbed into Japanese food culture. Back in the day, restaurants served koppepan as a side with yakisoba (think garlic bread with pasta) but one day, someone put the noodles inside the bread to make yakisoba to-go! It grew in popularity among the American soldiers and spread throughout Japan. Now it's a staple in konbini (a Japanese 'bodega'), and as I mentioned, festivals :) Although it's ubiquitous all throughout Japan, it is a distinctly Kansai (Southern Japan) food, as marked by the benishoga.
Please enjoy upon receipt. You can enjoy it cold or you can reheat it in the oven: about 10 minutes at 325.
Contains wheat, dairy, soy.
Shiitake is vegetarian. Add bonito flakes is pescatarian.
