Yakiniku Tare. This is basically Japanese BBQ sauce, or what one would brush on meats as they're grilled. This acts more like a soy sauce than a thick US-style BBQ sauce tho - think more like seasoning sauce for grilled skewers. But don't just use this on skewers! You can brush it on any grilling meats or use it to season a stirfry or as a dipping sauce.
'Spicy' flavor. Keep in mind, this is Japanese spicy, which is to say not spicy at all. It's pretty mellow and nicely balanced. It's tangy, and slightly sweet. It's a flavor that I crave that's hard to find in the US.
