Fried corn fritters from Gado Gado/Oma's Hideaway! We serve ours with ponzu-mayo on the side to express a Japanese flavor profile :) IMHO, one corn fritter is the perfect accompaniment to a tonjiru or a veggie side to fill out a light meal.
Even though these corn fritters aren't really Japanese (they're Indonesian), we absolutely love them! So when Gado Gado presented us with the opportunity to sell them, there was no way we could say no. For our 2 cents in the matter, we thought it would be fun to serve them with a dipping sauce of Ponzu-Mayo. (Side note, why do Americans love dipping sauces so much?)
Order them by the each, or by the 3s for a little discount.
If you pick them up from the kitchen, they will be hot. All other pick-ups and deliveries will come cold. To heat them up, preheat the oven to 350 and bake the fritters for 10 minutes. They're already fully cooked so you're just warming them up.
Fritters themselves are vegetarian, soy-free. They contain eggs and gluten (and are manufactured on shared equipment that processes soybeans, dairy, tree nuts, and/or peanuts).
The ponzu-mayo sauce contains egg, soy, and gluten.
