Saki ika, aka 'torn squid' is the Japanese equivalent of beef jerky in the US. Well, it's definitely eaten as a snack in the same way as jerky, but technically, it's more often used as a drinking snack to go with beer or sake (otsumami).
Saki ika is usually a little sweet but also quite savory. They're very chewy. My mom always said 'it's good for your jaw'. Is that even a thing?
We have 2 flavors:
Smoked
Hot *the 'hot' refers to spiciness, but keep in mind it's Japanese spicy, which is to say 'not spicy'
2 oz (technically a small bag, but definitely large enough to share - or eat by yourself)
Pescatarian, soy-free & gluten-free. Both contain squid, dairy (lactose).
