This delicious drinking vinegar mix is a combination of apple cider vinegar and fresh yuzu juice or concord grape juice. It's concentrated, so you'll want to mix it by at least a 1:1 ratio. We mix it with water, soda, and even sake and hard alcohol. It makes great cocktails! (We've got a nice and simple cocktail recipe down below.) We tend to dilute it even farther than 1:1 because we really like it when it's light and mellow. Each bottle has 16oz.
Yuzu is a citrus that is widely used in Japanese cooking and tastes like a cross between a lime and a grapefruit. It's refreshing, like a floral lemonade.
As for the Grape... For Americans, we tend to associate grape drinks with our childhoods, however, in Japan grapes receive a deep and much-deserved level of culinary respect. Ultra high-quality table grapes of various varieties are a staple in Japanese markets. Further, the mighty Concord grape here is pretty much the emperor of all table grapes. And has been Kana's obsession since she was a kid. This is why we proudly stock Kuze Fuku & Sons' Grape Drinking Vinegar along with their Yuzu.
Kuze Fuku & Sons is a Japanese family business that originated in Tokyo and has recently opened a farm and a production facility in Newberg, Oregon. They make instant dashi pouches, jams, dressings, and drinking vinegar beverages. Their goal is to produce gourmet culinary products, with ingredients sourced from Oregon producers and made in traditional Japanese ways.
